Having expected a fairly quiet January following such a busy Christmas period, we've been very pleasantly surprised to have had one of our busiest Januaries ever! It seems that quite a few people came over all romantic over Christmas and New Year so the wedding enquiries have been flooding in, which s something that we get particularly excited about :)

Not only this, but in January Diamond Dayz also launched a full range of photography products to compliment your beautiful images. You can take your pick from contemporary canvases, elegant photo framing, and stunning coffee table albums if you're having difficulty choosing only one image to display!

We know how much you love your photographs, because we love them too! You don't want to hide your special memories away in a cupboard, so we bring to you a wonderful choice of finishes for you to proudly display your favourites in your home.

Diamond Dayz Festive Twist

This year we decided to add a festive twist, by introducing personalised Christmas Cards to our range of Products... these have gone down a treat and we are really excited at being part of our clients' Christmas Greetings.

We are also pleased with the response we have had from our Gift Packs - which upgrades a single print, to include two replica gift 7x5 prints, plus a matching key ring - ideal gifts - not to mention a great way of sharing the joy - after all it is Christmas...

Happy, but very busy Birthday for Diamond Dayz!

Even though the weather is turning nasty and the days are getting shorter, November is an exciting month for Diamond Dayz Photography! This November we celebrated our 3^rd birthday, and we thought it would also be a great opportunity to mark the end of a successful year by offering our clients something a bit special.

We wanted to get into the Christmas spirit a little bit early, and so we offered a special Christmas Baby promotion to take some festive snaps of your little ones. We thought these would make fantastic presents, or just a wonderful memento of your little ones at this special time of year.

These shoots have really kept us busy over the last month, but it’s been no hardship meeting lots of beautiful babies and receiving some lovely feedback from family members! Speaking of a happy customer, I thought I’d share what Sylvia had to say about her grandsons Alfie and Noah’s recent gallery of images – yes I was a little choked....:

“You have achieved what I thought was not possible with my grandsons, yes fab pics, love them and your patience with Alfie showed me how much you are truly dedicated in getting great results. Well done, you deserve a medal.”

Well as you can imagine this made my month! We love what we do, but comments like this make it all the more worthwhile. We’re really looking forward to December now, and the launch of ’12 Diamond Dayz of Christmas’!

I'm loving how our commercial portfolio is growing... I'm getting to meet lots of new people, who are extremely talented at what they do and are so passionate that they are making a living out of it too.

Introducing Our First Diamond Dayz Ambassadors

As Diamond Dayz Photography approaches its 4^th Birthday, we are excited to celebrate the diamonds, of Diamond Dayz, our clients! With this at the centre of our celebrations we are thrilled to introduce the first Diamond Dayz Ambassadors – Jane & Jeff Nicholson. Thank you to Jane, Jeff and daughter Layney for always saying ‘Yes’! The rapport we have built and the trust you have in us, is key to the creation of beautiful, timeless images in your Diamond Dayz gallery.

To become an Ambassador, there first needs to be a journey, a time of discovery and for mutual admiration to grow. Our Journey began with Jane and Jeff at their engagement shoot, April 2010. I personally title the shoot ‘fun in the park’, as that is simply what we had. As with most of our clients, Jane and Jeff admitted been nervous at the idea of having a photo shoot, what to expect, how the gallery would turn out – but they needn’t have been, what a laugh we had.

Our engagement shoots are ideal; they put everyone at ease, including us. They kick start the couple’s wedding gallery, with fun creative images to share with friends and family, before the wedding. The engagement shoots are complimentary and the feedback we get from couples is fantastic – a real ice breaker.

Ambassadors give back and Jane and Jeff are fabulous at this. It was from their engagement gallery the launch of the beautiful Diamond Dayz Guest Book Album came about. This personalised album containing a selection of couple’s favourite images from the engagement shoot, designed in such a way that space is available to write on its textured paper finish. Presenting this to guests at the wedding reception, for them to leave good luck messages, can only result in a treasure trove of memories.

The Diamond Dayz Guest book is not the only first Jane and Jeff has been involved with. After their beautiful wedding at the magical Greystoke Castle in July of this year; Jane excitedly agreed to ‘trash her wedding dress’! So on their returns from honeymoon, wheels were set in motion. Brought on board was the styling expertise of Gemma Anderson, based at Morgan’s Hair Salon, Maryport. The day of the shoot, Gemma transformed the locks of our bride Jane, chief bridesmaid Jill and flower girl Layney. To compliment the gorgeously styled hair, we needed that flawless make up – introducing the wonderful talents of makeup artist Carrie Graham. Carrie added that just stepped out of a glossy magazine look. All glammed up our beautiful ladies not only look fabulous but felt it – picnic lunch eaten, with the scenic back drop of Ennerdale, it was time to start taking photos!

Now ‘Trash the Dress’ what is that – you may ask? Well it can be exactly what you want it to be, as long as it’s AMAZING! I like to think of Jane Austin, romantic, rural, idyllic; using stunning locations, with wonderful rich colours and sensual textures. Places you can’t venture to on your actual wedding day, due to time or the simple fact that if you did you would – ‘trash your dress’...

Ennerdale offered us lots of scope, with the woodlands green spaces and fallen tree trunks, the stony beaches and lonely rocks, and the stunning views and peaceful Ennerdale water – that Jane did finish her shoot by strolling in to, smiling from ear to ear as we all had all day.

I thought I’d share what Jane and Jeff wrote in our Thank You card...

Your family is growing and it’s magical! With our Bump2Baby package you can be sure that you have a collection of iconic images, taken at each key stage of this wonderful time in your lives, to share with loved ones and cherish forever....

Session One – Motherhood (shot at approx 7 months into your pregnancy)

In your first session we will spend time with you as a family, with your expectant arrival at the centre of the shoot. We will create a mix of fun and reportage style images, with you as a couple as well as individual motherhood portraits. Using your own special items such as booties, ribbon, teddies and shawls will make the finish images even more special to you.

Session Two – The New Arrival (shot when baby is approx 2 weeks old)

This second session concentrates on the miracle that is your new arrival. We will photograph baby with all the family as well as individual portraits with mum and dad. Whether baby’s eyes are closed dreaming or open absorbing the new surroundings we can capture their little fingers, toes and button nose. Remember baby’s first teddy, blanket and tiny baby grows, little hats and booties will all add to the magic of this special time.

Session Three – How they’ve grown (shot when baby is approx 6 months old)

We want to capture how baby grows and changes. This third session will show a more animated little one. Curious at colours, shapes and sounds. Bringing bright coloured clothes and toys, play mats and rattles will compliment those big eyes, which don’t miss a trick. We will capture how your family is growing and how both mum and dad can make baby giggle.

Session Four – Baby at One (shot on or around Baby’s first birthday)

The final session of your bump to baby, will capture baby becoming their own little person. With favourite toys, baby is now sitting up and playing, interacting with you all as a family. Enchanting and curious these times are exciting and your images will show how quickly baby has grown and developed.

Each session will last approx 90 minutes and will create a gallery of approx 35 images for you to choose from. We will present each gallery to you along the way as we build your unique Bump2Baby Collection. We also included in your favourite image from each session as a complimentary 12x8 print. With the chance to create a bespoke story book album or multi image display piece at your final presentation – selecting favourite images captured throughout your bump2baby experience, this will help us design a finished piece which is truly bespoke to you and your new family.

Our Bump2Baby Packages are priced at £249.00 (worth £300.00) and include four sessions, presentation of each session and a 12x8 single print of your favourite image from each session chosen at each presentation.
